Benchmark Report Screen

 Introduction to the Benchmark Report

The Benchmark Report allows ALERT IIS users to retrieve a list and count of patients who have met an immunization benchmark or predefined series of benchmarks. The resulting report may be viewed in ALERT IIS, exported as a text file, or exported as a spreadsheet.

 Functionality

  1. Select the patient population to be assessed by clicking one of the following options described below:

Description

Available Admin Role

All Patients Associated with Selected Site

Selecting this option will return only patients who have been immunized at the selected site.

Yes

All Patients Associated with
Provider

Selecting this option will return only patients who are active within the organization.

Yes

All Patients Residing in County

Selecting this option will return all patients residing in the displayed county. This report will not exclude patients based on if a patient is active within your organization or not.  This option is only available to county providers.

No

All patients residing in County and all patients associated with Provider.

Selecting this option will return a combination of the two previous options. It will return all patients active within your organization or residing within the county displayed.  This option is only available to county providers.

  1. Select one of the following options described below to specify the patients to return on the report:

Patient Benchmark Options

Description

Patients who DID meet the benchmark

The population will be limited to patients patients who met the benchmark(s) defined in the Select Benchmark table.

Patients who did NOT meet the benchmark

The population will be limited to patients who did not meet the benchmark(s) defined in the Select Benchmark table.

All patients, regardless of whether they met the benchmark or not

The population will be limited to patients meeting the criteria defined in the Select Benchmark table.


  1. Select the age, birth date range or age range of the patients by selecting one of the following options:

Description

Less than or equal to 72 months old

The population will be limited to patients who are less than or equal to 72 months old as of the evaluation date.

Birth date range

The population will be limited to patients who have a birth date in this range.

Age range

The population will be limited to patients within this age range as of the evaluation date.


  1. Select the Options for Benchmarking by selecting one of the following:

    Description

    Standard Assessment

    The standard benchmark report will be generated.

    Assess Patients with Sufficient Refusal History as Covered

    The standard benchmark report will be generated however will count patients with sufficient refusal comments as being considered up-to-date.  In order for patient refusals of vaccine to be calculated correctly on the benchmark report, an appropriate Applies-To-Date must be entered for refusal comments on the Patient Comments tab.


  1. Enter your evaluation date criteria in MM/DD/YYYY format or use the calendar icon to choose a date.

Description

Date Field

The evaluation date that the Benchmark Report uses to determine the cohort for the report.  The evaluation date also limits immunizations considered for the report.  No immunizations given after the evaluation date are included in the evaluation.

Command Button

Functionality

Clicking the Generate button will run the selected Benchmark report and display the Benchmark Report Results screen.

Clicking the Clear Selection button will clear the selections that have been made in the Age Specific Immunization Benchmarks and the Aggregate Outcomes Benchmarks tables.

Clicking the Cancel button will return the user to the previous page.
